Yesterday afternoon I texted Lowi and told her our previously planned blog seemed inappropriate given the events of the day. We had a few exchanges about what to write to all of you.

We have no words.

We looked back at what we wrote on October 2, 2017 after the shooting in Las Vegas.

But today, we have no words.

We looked back at what we posted on September 10 and we are reminded of all the natural disasters and the next day marking one of our nation’s worst terror attacks.

But today, we have no words.

Words are powerful, they can inspire, they can provide comfort, but we are beyond that with our ongoing inability to act when it comes to gun violence.

Instead today, we have heavy hearts, we have nothing but sadness in our minds, but still, we have no words.
