A Month of Abundance

We have glided into November — a month known for gratitude and thankfulness.
And certainly, when it comes to months and reputations this isn’t a bad one to have.

But what does it really mean to be thankful, to have an attitude of gratitude?

I am sure that can be answered in as many ways as there are people in this world. This year, we are looking at it from a place of abundance. We are getting curious about and acknowledging all the fullness of our lives. All the places where we are overflowing with blessings. We all have at least one part of our life that’s going well but we get so hung up on the areas or situations that we perceive as lacking.
And it’s true we all have veins of our life that feel empty or not right.
But there are others that are filled beyond measure with goodness.

It’s easy to believe in scarcity because it’s reinforced at ever turn.
Believing in abundance takes work and more than a little courage because nearly every message we get from the world is telling us what we don’t have. It’s alerting us to where we supposedly are not enough, don’t have enough, will never be enough.
Sometimes it’s our own minds that keep rotating that message over and over again.

This month, we want to put a pause on that message and instead focus on where our cup may run over; where we are content and those few spaces that seem to have escaped untouched by hard days and times.

It’s like changing the television station and tuning into what is good — even if it’s just for a moment each day. So for the next 24 days we’re thinking abundant thoughts,  inviting abundant energy, and cultivating a belief in having, being and achieving enough.
