Warm Weather Weirdness

There is something about the first serious string of warm days that makes people do weird stuff.
Weird is a relative term since much of what I do could, by others, be considered the same.
But living in a condominium community you get a little more dialed into your neighbors every day habits than you might normally due to the close proximity.
When I came home on a recent Friday afternoon it was beautiful and sunny but not quite 70 degrees. So when I looked out on my back yard I was surprised to see my neighbor sunbathing.
I mean it was nice weather but it was not yet bathing suit temperature.
I can’t say that I was all that surprised because a few weeks earlier when it was about 58 and sunny her husband was doing the same.
I know it feels warm and is a nice change especially after our cold snap a couple weekends ago but get a handle on yourself people!
Actually, now that I think about it, I witness interesting habits even in cold weather. One of my other neighbors that I share a common green space with is quite the cigar smoker. The eye-catching part is when I see him on his back patio, sitting at his table, with snow collecting on him and his laptop just puffing away on his cigar.
He seems happy enough and his red and white toboggan keeps him warm.

This kind of quirkiness makes me happy. I think I’d be disappointed if they weren’t mostly because when they look across their deck at my condo they see someone regularly jumping up and down on a trampoline, meditating outside with arms stretched to the heavens, and incense smoldering in the light of a full moon.

It’s fun to be weird.
