Life Lesson: Happy Father’s Day

As we roll into another summer weekend we’d like to celebrate our Dad. G, our sister Lisa and I have a hard-working, quiet, reserved father. It takes a lot for him to open up, but when he does..watch out!
What I remember most about growing up with our dad was that he was always working hard to provide for all of us girls. Now, we have heard more than a few, “poor Lou” comments over the years, but we know he loved it. Or maybe that is why he worked such long, hard hours…

For all three of us, Dad continues to fix things, put furniture together, plant flowers or anything else we might need. I think the thing I love the most though is watching him with Alex, Sydney, Reese and Ava. It seems that is when we see him laugh the most. Whether when they were little babies and he “chewed on their ribs” until they couldn’t take the laughter anymore, or now, as they dance, sing and snuggle up on the sofa with him, those are the moments I cherish and look forward to the next time we are together.

Happy Father’s Day Big Lou!  We love you!
