Life Lesson: Time to Buy

My sad, tired mac sitting on the floor of my office because it still holds lots of photos etc that haven’t yet been transferred.

When is it time to buy a new computer? It can be a tough question to answer at times. If your computer stops working altogether, then it makes the answering of the question fairly simple.
But when it’s just not working quite as well as it used to it can be hard to justify buying a new one, especially if you are Mac people, like we are.
It’s not an inexpensive venture so you need to be sure it’s time.

That time came on Tuesday not long before I had to go to detention… aka getting my taxes done.
Nothing like doing your taxes and making a major purchase all in one day.

The final decision was made after I spent an hour at my computer trying to launch the ultra sophisticated Firefox web browser. I know? Crazy, right? Then I decided to reboot the computer and that took another solid 25 minutes.

Yes, it was time.

The new kid on the block! I know, it looks exactly the same 🙂

So while out at an appointment, John made the venture to purchase the new computer. It’s amazing what a new computer feels like after yours has been on the fritz maybe longer than you realized. Everything moves faster, seems better, cooler, brighter than before. It’s like a new car without the new-car smell — or wheels.

I am still in the process of trying to figure out what the passwords are to about 20 different sites that I saved on my old computer but never bothered to write down because I was sure I would remember “%^^&$$E59fkd” as my login. But this is a small price to pay for lightning fast action when it comes to downloading, uploading and you know, checking Facebook.
