We are humbled.

This process of bringing our book out into the world has been a constant flow of conflicting and ever-changing emotions. And continuously you amaze, surprise and embrace us with your kindness.

Monday evening we were invited to a book club to talk about our book, our experience, and share our thoughts. We didn’t know what to expect. We were nervous. We were flattered. We were excited.

And we were enveloped into the most affirming and gracious atmosphere —  more than we ever could have imagined or hoped.

It’s an unreal and heady phenomenon to hear someone read from a bound mass of pages with intent and sincerity and before too long you realize those are your words, your thoughts, your reflections. Then you look around a room of kind souls and see some of them nodding their head in agreement as if your interpretations of this crazy life speak to their hearts in some way too.

Minds blown. Hearts wide open. Gratitude spilling out onto the floor. We’ll probably need a mop.
