A month ago I wrote a blog titled, A Year of Gratitude. It was intended as a reflection, a summary; a bookend to my year. In actuality it ended up doing exactly what I spoke about. It dragged me straight to the moment in which I needed to be.
The present.
The last two weeks we have been fortunate enough to have my parents, our girls, and lots of friends around. For those of you who need a translator this means, the sharing of bathrooms, music, lots of laundry, lots of dishes, laughter, skiing, skating, dancing, singing, games, going out, staying up late, and taking lots of photos. It’s been semi-organized chaos and I have loved every minute of it.
The saying goes that all good things must come to an end, but I do not subscribe to that theory. In fact, I am ready for everyone to start blazing their own path in 2017. It’s just the beginning of a brand new, shiny year and I am grateful for another 365 days to see what lies ahead.
Thank you 2016.
Here’s to 2017!
