When the going gets tough, we apparently act like we’re the Kardashians. I know! I was surprised too!
Our extended and immediate family has been working through a difficult time and everyone is stressed and our Mom has been going on little to no sleep for more than a week.
Needless to say, that usually leaves everyone a little short and totally lacking in humor. But our Dad, Big Papa Lou as some have taken to calling him, managed to kick us into a full blown alternate universe with the innocent strike of a key and the uninvited company of auto-correct. And are we THANKFUL!

Here’s the fun thread that we exchanged:

Big Papa Lou: I am concerned that she left yesterday morning and has not been homehomeKardashian

G: I’m concerned that Kardashian made it into your text. I assume you are referring to mom not sleeping.

Lowi: Wait, dad is sleeping with Kim Kardashian?

Big Papa Lou, undeterred by our joking…: I am concerned that she has not been home in 24 hours and I don’t know where the hell kardashian came from either. I hate when this thing helps me spell

Lowi: Lol!!! We know what you meant! Just trying to make you laugh!

We got quite a kick out of this little riff but then the shining glory moment came a few hours later.

Mom aka Kim Kardashian did return home and she texted us all:
I am home and Kanye is cutting tree up!

I mean, classic, really! With little sleep, lots of stress she manages a Kanye reference. I am so impressed. But then she does us one better.

G: Well we still have our sense of humor in tact! Now the question is who is watching Nori?

Mom: Thank God that kid is with Kris!

Lowi: Cracking me up! Get some sleep!
