Thankful Thursday: Bringing Sunshine Back

The Winter Solstice has come and gone and blissfully brought with it the return of slightly longer days. Now for some of you reading this that may not sound like much. But for those of us in areas like Ohio, we don’t see much of the sun in winter anyway. And when the gloomy day sets at 4:30 p.m. things get a little dicey, quickly.

So on my way home from an appointment earlier this week it was after 5 p.m and it looked like this.

To say that I was/am thankful is an understatement. It is a sign that we made it through the darkness, literally, once again. If you’re like me, and highly sensitive to the lack of sunshine, this is a day-maker.

Consider this a big shout out to Mother Nature! Thanks for bringing sunshine back.

Hallelujah! I’m with you Angela. Daylight savings can’t come soon enough.

No kidding. I am always thankful for the holidays to distract from the fact that it’s dark most of November and December 🙂 It’ll be summer and light till 8 p.m. before we know it!!!
