Things people say
(L) So, this week my love, lol moment, goes to my niece, Ava.
Here is a conversation she had with her mother. It cracks me up and I love the insight and wisdom of children! I don’t know Gary and Mandi, but if I was a betting woman I bet they are considering the name Henry right now!
Ava: “Mom, I know what Gary and Mandi are going to name the baby.”
Lisa: “You do?”
Ava: “Henry!”
Lisa: “Why do you think it will be a boy and why Henry?”
Ava: “Mom, (annoyed) they put baby H on the Christmas card, there are no cute girl names that start with an H!”
Lisa: (snorting with laughter) “Ava, it said Baby H because their last name is Helmink.”
Ava: “Oh, I guess that could be it” FYI they are having a boy!!
Experiences
Happy to be home: (G) Our road trip to Florida had a little more adventure than hoped. I returned home on Wednesday afternoon and happy to be back in the swing of things. Nothing feels quite as good as sleeping in your own bed. And as you can see the kitties were pretty excited about our return.
Food
Nuun Electrolyte Enhanced Drink Tabs: (G) All praise Nuun tablets. As a long distance runner, an electrolyte replacement drink is essential. I have tried all the others and never been thrilled until now. Nuun makes tabs you toss in your water bottle and they dissolve in about 2 minutes. The taste is light and so far hasn’t given me a bellyache after continued use. Super excited!
TV
(L) White Collar. I have been addicted to this show for a couple of months now. It has gotten me through some tough treadmill runs. It’s a 40ish minute series on Netflix about an ex-con who works as a consultant for the FBI. It has everything: mystery, intrigue, art, love, crime and the main character isn’t hard to look at either. I’m just saying that if you can’t find any other reason to watch it; that would be good enough!
Movies
(L) I recently watched “About Time.” This is a great movie about time travel starring Rachel McAdams, Domnhall Gleeson and Bill Nightly. I finished this movie with a renewed sense of contentment. I mean, the main character can go back and change anything as many times as he like and in the end…well, you will just have to watch to see what happens.
