We know there is A LOT going on in our country.  There is a lot vying for our attention and things feel daunting.  Life has felt hard for going on 10 months now.  To say these are unprecedented times, feels like an understatement and we feel the heaviness that you carry as well. The reality is though, that we must continue on.  We get one go round on this planet and while some of you are saying, “AMEN” and we get it, we also want to keep moving forward the best we can.

While we did break for our normal holiday hiatus, we are back and we are here, to hopefully, bring you some levity in this season of unpredictability.  Our goal has always been to bring micro joys to your day.  Everyone deserves a few minutes of laughter,  joy, diversion or whatever you want to call it.
So, for 2021, we are going back to our roots; back to our blog basics, if you will.  If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we have to peel back everything else and get to the core of who we are and what is really important.

G and I are storytellers at heart and our mission has always been to filter through the static of our days and find the things that bind us; that common thread of what it means to be human.   We went back to our actual mission statement on our homepage to be sure these were, in fact, our roots and this is what we found:

“Our hope is to write and share about topics that speak to us and you in a way that’s honest and connecting. We are knee-deep in this road trip of life and the map was blown out the window many dirt-road miles ago — and we’d like some company. This site is a place to share the realness of life, the sometimes painful, and with equal frequency, sometimes joyful. We are stumbling forward toward living in as genuine, authentic and open way as possible. At the same time, we like to do that with humor, a dash, or sometimes a healthy dose, of sarcasm.”

This still rings true and that is what you will continue to find on this blog; funny, relatable stories that make you laugh, make you think and make you want to come back for more.  
2021 promises to be a wild ride, so buckle up and let’s get ready. We have our work cut out for us this year.
