Our oldest daughter is graduating Physician Assistant school today. There will be no pomp and circumstance and there will be no formal send off. They just finished their rotations, took their final exams and left the building. Yes, she still has to take boards and get her license, etc..but after being in school forever she is finally DONE! We could not be more proud of her and although we won’t be having family and friends in for the weekend, we drove to Nashville to celebrate her and all of her accomplishments.
Alex decided she wanted to go to Physician Assistant (PA) school her freshman year of high school so this has been a long journey. Every volunteer hour, school project, mission trip, job, class, interview, study session, rotation and exam since that time has been about this moment. It’s hard to believe she is done. I can’t even imagine how she feels to have reached this point. I am guessing it will take some time for it to sink in.
On top of this incredible accomplishment, she also landed herself a job! Yes, a real job using her mad skills as a surgical PA. So, this weekend we will celebrate her being done and landing a job and next weekend she will pack up all of her belongings and move to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Cheers to you, Alex, for your incredible determination and hard work. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see how this next adventure plays out.
