For well over a year, we’ve mentioned periodically that one of our family members was working through a cancer diagnosis and treatment. It was a long haul for her, as I am sure it is for anyone, and it took time, patience, understanding, starting, re-starting and learning a new way of life.
Over the last year she’s had doctors’ appointments, scans, tests, and rechecks repeatedly.

And then early last week, I got a text from my aunt telling me her latest tests were all clear. She followed up on Saturday inviting us all to her house to celebrate.

It was like putting a bookend on the last several months and turning forward to see what goodness is on the horizon.

We are thankful that all is looking up and we are able to look ahead to joy!
