Sometimes slowing down means that your heart and mind have time to think and feel. I’m pretty sure everyone would say that it’s good for your soul.
It’s always good to touch base with yourself even if it does mean you need to bring your shovel, a box of tissues and your big girl pants.
This past week I’ve had the chance to look up, slow down and breathe in the changes on the horizon. I was tempted to grab the shovel and throw some more dirt on the pile, but instead I dug in. Our lives have been changing the last two years with one already beginning her third year in college. The last six months have kicked these changes into hyper speed. With the busy schedules of last sports seasons, school concerts, the school year ending, graduation, apartment hunting, family visiting and a cross country move it’s been hard to focus on the reality of these changes. Now, it’s hard to look away!
So, let’s be brave and face our fears, anxieties and vulnerabilities together.
