G spoke about moving into the new year slowly, with caution and maybe not even fully acknowledging the change until February. Let’s think about it. Even if we woke up on January 1st with a zest for life and a pep in our step, at this point we have realized that the detox from all things holiday takes time. We don’t just decide on the first day of this new year that we are eating clean, working out, making big changes and we push a button that resets us to zero. No, most of us are starting with a deficit and it’s going to take a few weeks of consistency to get back to zero. I know, it might feel a little depressing to think about it in this way, but what would happen if we reimagined a new way of being? What if we weren’t in a huge hurry to make our life different by mid-January? What if we reimagined these 365 days in a way that gave us an entire year to breathe life back into these bodies.
Like most of us, we are stepping lightly into this bright and shiny new year. We are moving forward with hope and perhaps a little trepidation. Most of us react similarly when we are presented with a blank slate, we imagine all of the amazing possibilities. However, life has also taught us that this side of the new year doesn’t always bring the change we desire or the joy we hoped for just a few short days ago.

My shoulders just relaxed thinking about a year stretched out before me. What could we do in a whole year? In a world where we want to see results in 30 days or less, we are bound to be disappointed. Take it in and let’s reimagine this new year together.
This year let’s reimagine what our life could be if we just decided to be ourselves. Not the best version, the hyped-up version, the glossy version, the one you think everyone else wants, but the real you.
Let’s reimagine what’s true about us.
Let’s reimagine a new year where we do things that make us feel confident, healthy, strong, vibrant, and energized. Let’s stop doing the things that make us second guess ourselves, shrink, quit, and chase things we know aren’t right or at the very least, don’t fit.
Let’s reimagine what we put into our bodies. What would happen if we fueled ourselves with whole foods and stayed hydrated?
Let’s reimagine what it means to move our bodies. What would happen if we started just walking everyday? What could happen by the end of this year?

Let’s reimagine how to expand our minds. Let’s put our phones down and read a book or at the very least listen to a book.
Let’s reimagine how we communicate with one another and look someone in the eye when having a conversation.
Let’s reimagine relaxing. Let’s sit by the fire without any distractions and let’s stop doing things that numb us to life rather than experiencing it.
Let’s reimagine a new way of doing life that resonates deep within our soul.
Let’s reimagine a year where love, joy, peace, kindness and a gentle spirit guide us rather than a TikTok video.
Let’s reimagine taking our lives back and breathing life into our truth.
Let’s reimagine what could happen in 365 days if we stayed committed to ourselves.

I just shared this one to FB beautiful girls. It’s exactly what I needed to have cross my path this morning. Virtual hugs to both of you. xoxo
