I love when you receive a gift that just keeps on giving!

If you will recall, back in October I met a beautiful woman from India by the name of Lalitha, on my way home from Nashville. During the course of our flight we became more than fast friends, she became my adopted mother.

We exchanged a couple of emails via my newly adopted brother, Raj, and I sent her family photos as instructed. I mean you don’t mess with your Indian mother when she tells you to do something!

This week I received another email from my “brother” Raj. He wanted to let me know that mom was heading back to India and will return in May.

I absolutely LOVE that he said, “mom is flying back to India today.”   He could have said, “his mom” but he didn’t. I think this means that Raj has welcomed me into the fold as well.

So grateful for my encounter with Lalitha, the kindness of her family, and the emails that continue to make me smile. Plus, I really love saying, “I need to go email my brother back!”
