In the spirit of the season, Lowi & I opted to make our Thankful Thursday this month into What We Love. And while I am sure next week we will return to our originally scheduled programming this week may, possibly, have more than a healthy dose of sarcasm.

When I texted Lowi yesterday to say I hadn’t forgotten that we were writing about things we love for today’s blog she texted back quickly to share she HATES EVERYTHING.

Now this is not a typical response but when you are “at war” typical goes out the window. Lowi was shopping for a semi-formal dress for an event Friday and you know what that means. That’s right: Fitting Rooms.

I have long been a believer that all fitting rooms, whether at Target or Nordstrom, should be equipped with a fully stocked and staffed bar as well as an on-site therapist. Because really ladies, fashion and the female psyche are not known for being BFFs.

What We Love

(G) Currently, I love my Spirit Junkie affirmation app. I have it set to go off every day at 11:11 am because I believe that is an auspicious time. But lately, as sarcasm goes, by that late in the morning I find most things and people slightly annoying. I am using the app to remember that I really do like people, want to be positive, and smacking someone is not very Christmas-like.

(L) ‘Tis the season to be merry, but when you are needing a semi-formal dress there is not a lot to love.  However, what I am loving is that I do have a black, not so formal dress that I like to refer to as my “funeral” dress, but in reality is a great dress hanging in my closet.  It’s not super fancy, but I think with a touch of jewels and maybe a great new pair of shoes it could be just the ticket for my semi-formal event which is tomorrow!
