We hear it all of the time, “it’s a small world”, but every single time my world gets smaller I am shocked and amused.

So, the other day I am at the music studio and I am talking to a musician about going to Nashville with my daughter for a college visit. About 30 seconds into our conversation he says he went to Ohio State. Now for those of you back in the Buckeye state that is no big deal, but out west here I am always surprised because I, too, went to Ohio State and then moved across the country.
We proceed to discuss the ins and outs of college/music and his career as a musician and yes, Kid Rock’s body double. What? Yes, folks it’s true. He is not only a Buckeye, but could be Kid Rock’s twin. He actually has been Kid Rock’s double in videos. He even showed us a video he did with Sheryl Crow.

He told us how she was such a good sport about dancing with him and how he has never washed his hand again!! (He had to rest his hand a little LOW on her backside)

Okay, so the small world part. Anyway, after this revelation about Kid Rock he asks me if I grew up in Ohio. I say yes and that it was a small town west of Columbus. He also grew up near Columbus and asks exactly where I grew up. So, I tell him and he starts laughing. He is a year younger than me, but tells me he dated a girl from my hometown. What? Seriously? He not only knows where West Jefferson is located, but he dated a girl who was in the marching band; the flag corp to be exact. It’s been more than 25 years, so I cannot think of a single blonde who was in the marching band besides my cousin and I would have known if he dated her. So, I told him I would find a yearbook and see if we could solve the mystery of the the flag girl from 1987/1988.  I will keep you posted, but in the mean time…

Anyone know who the mystery blonde could be?
