Freezing herbs
Our garden experiments have continued to go well. My basil plant was growing well but I noticed the other day that it was about to hit the road and bolt like my cilantro. I made a drastic decision. I cut parsley and basil WAY back hoping to recharge their growth. But then what do you do with all these herbs?
I opted to follow a cool idea. Chop up the herbs and freeze them in little ice cube size baths of olive oil. Now these little gems are waiting for whatever my latest creation might be.

Happiness Jars
We’re more than halfway through 2014 and it’s time to check in on your Happiness Jar progress. The concept behind the jars is to make notes about the good things that happen throughout the year so that on December 31 you can review all the joy that happened in the last 365 days.
Throughout the year we’ve had times where we’ve been really committed to the process and other times forgot about it. This is our collective reminder to return to collecting your good stuff for posterity or at least for a fun game on New Year’s Eve.
Violet Femme
This week I decided to make a color change and move from red to violet. Seems like we are speeding toward fall at a rapid pace and what says fall better than a lovely shade of purple.
