We have been focusing on gratitude, happiness and what’s right in our lives for 70 plus days. And thankfully, we have been shown even more goodness. This week, just in time, our little blog that could got some awesome love from our friend, Cris. (Once you click on the link, scroll to the comments section at the bottom)
He is a long-time friend and his entire family is near and dear to our hearts. They are the kind of people that you don’t see for years and then it’s like you never missed a beat and you fall right back into the same familiar comfort and belonging that you had when you were a kid.
His shout-out of love and good memories got me to thinking about kindness and telling people how we feel. Often we are “too busy” or “afraid” to tell people what they mean to us or even have meant to us in a different time in our lives.
We don’t act on the instinct to share those sometimes fleeting thoughts, to extend love, to let someone know that they really matter to us. I was talking about this with my friend, Julie, later and she has had similar experiences. While that’s just two of us I don’t think we are all that different from the rest of the human race.
We all want and need to hear that what we do, have done, or ARE is important.
We all want to know that we are making a real impact, in a real way.
Our blog comment came at a time when we needed it. We all have our struggles and you never know when your kindness will hit the right chord at the right time.
C’mon get out there and show a little love!
Peace out,
Lowi & G
