The Torture Report wraps up this week with reaching our goals of 50 miles and 50K. There was near-puking, a little GI distress, blisters, sheer exhaustion, and a zipper-style chafing incident but nothing that won’t heal and certainly something we will never forget!
Who knew that duct tape was useful post-race? Lowi and I ended up with some killer blisters that just wouldn’t give up. We ended up having to tape them into submission. Sadly, or thankfully, this was the only thing that brought relief.

We really thought we’d have a lot to say about the race, and I am sure we will, but right now it all seems too overwhelming and full. It was full of emotion, exhaustion, elation and extremes. It’s going to take us a few days to absorb it all. But we are so glad to have the last several weeks to look back on and laugh and so pleased you opted to come on the ride with us.
