It’s Friday again and we are so thankful! This week we are all in for sleep, improvement in weather and chocolate. Always chocolate! Check out what we are loving today!
Observance
(G) Lent: Many of you are observing the Lenten season, including my husband. I opted to not give anything up this year but have instead thought about what I could add in that would be a positive contribution. As Jill Bolte Taylor so simply put it:

So in that spirit, I am continuing to focus on meditation and consider what energy I am bring in, taking out or affecting when I go anywhere. I won’t be perfect but I will try. I am bringing good juju into my spaces!
Experiences
(G) Sleep: The dream fairies are my close personal friends these days. I need them to get rested up from all the Torture we’ve been putting ourselves through. So needless to say I am always a fan of sleep but right now it’s like my number one favorite activity… OK maybe eating is… but sleep is a tie for first. (L) Too bad we lose an hour of sleep this weekend!:(
(G) Warmer weather: It has been a long time coming but Spring is showing signs of arriving. I am thrilled to have a warmer weekend to enjoy my training runs this weekend. I feel confident that the high of 53 today will feel much like 75 after all these arctic blasts in Ohio. This forecast is definitely something I am loving right now!
Drinks
(G) Green juice: My juice habit had long gone uninterrupted but with cold temps, vacation, and sheer laziness I had lost my way. But Monday came and with it arrived a renewed inspiration and I am back on the green juice wagon. Day #5 today and I feel so much better. If you want to go green, check out Kris Carr’s recipe on our site.
Places & Food
(L) Yes, I know, my selections are typically centered around food. I admit it, I love all things food. And sleep, I do love sleep. Anyway, today I had the opportunity to go to Boulder to visit my oldest at CU. Love it and love her. Anyway, we had lunch at one of our favorite local, organic restaurants, Turley’s Kitchen. You can get anything vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and yummy! If I happen to be there for breakfast I must have the gluten-free Pumpkin waffles. Lunch? Wild Salmon Salad and Dinner? Whatever the special happens to be. Oh and don’t forget the house spiced tea. Hint, you can buy it by the jar and take it home. The next time you are in Boulder, check it out on Pearl Street.
(L) One of my other favorites in Boulder is Piece, Love & Chocolate. It is all things chocolate and totally divine. Again, you can get gluten-free and there is vegan chocolate, which makes G happy when she visits. My favorite? The salted caramel chocolate brownie. It is delicious and you definitely won’t want to share.
