L&G Morsels: More good stuff for you and about YOU!

L&G Morsels

Apparently, here at the home of Lowi & G, 2014 is all about new: Introductions, new meetings and learning as we go! Last week, we shared our new feature: L & G Morsels. Originally, it was intended to be a once-a-month-kinda-thing. But we got such a great response, and with all the gratitude-practicing, our list just keeps growing. So until the list runs dry, we shall continue our love for all kinds of fabulous things simple and grand!

YOU!
First and most importantly we are LOVING YOU! Thanks for such a great reception to our site and all of our new additions in 2014. We really thought the only people reading our blog might be us and our mom! Many thanks! And thanks to our mom for reading it, too.

Books
Spirited: Unlock Your Psychic Self and Change Your Life By Rebecca Rosen: (G) I am really enjoying this book, not so much because I think I am psychic (or want to be) but because she includes a lot of great meditation and centering practices in this book. If you get nothing else out of it she gives some great insight on connecting with yourself and being aware of your actions/behavior.

Against All Grain Cookbook by Danielle Walker: (Lowi) My sistah is a Paleo chick and has found that dropping the gluten and the grains are a big win for her. Great recipes and if you’re not yet sold, check out her Facebook page to get a taste!

Food
Northstar Café: (G) If you are lucky enough to have a Northstar Café near you, then I hope you’ve had the Buddha Bowl. It’s all things healthy, delicious and can’t-stop-eating that you want in a bowl of food. Plus add the bonus that Northstar is committed to locally grown, organic and artisan-produced food and you can even feel karmically good about stuffing your face, tastefully, of course.

Justin’s Maple Almond Butter with apples: (Lowi) When I am craving something sweet, but I don’t want to step off of the healthy eating wagon, I LOVE Justin’s Maple Almond Butter.  it’s just enough sweet that it satisfies without the guilt of CHOCOLATE!!

Music
Sara Bareilles: (G) Lately, Sara Bareilles has been my musical love affair. I have been a longtime fan but her latest album I am so enjoying. And whenever I need a boost to go out and do what scares me I play Brave as many times as I need. Like sometimes, I need to listen to it before posting some of these blogs… scary!

ZZ Ward’s Album- Till The Casket Drops: (Lowi) My middle daughter, Sydney, introduced me to the musical stylings of ZZ Ward over a year ago and I can’t get enough.  Even if you aren’t sure you are familiar with her I guarantee you have heard her music.  It seems she has become the soundtrack to everything from “Pretty Little Liars” to  A&E’s “Rodeo Girls” to the 2013 Summer Blockbuster, “We’re The Millers.” Check her out!

Peace & Gratitude,

Lowi & G
