After another 15 minutes had passed, I told Sydney that maybe we should take them a cheeseburger because it couldn’t be that bad.  Perhaps they were just hangry. Sydney laughed and thought they might need something stronger, given their body language. 

Sometimes, the stars align, and you find yourself immersed in a string of days so enjoyable that you simply can’t help but smile.

We circled for close to an hour when the pilot notified us that we might have to return to Ft. Myers because they only gave us a limited amount of fuel.  Fortunately, they did let us land.  Unfortunately, we proceeded to sit on the tarmac for close to 90 minutes

When your kids ALL live elsewhere, it’s the little things you miss the most.  We are always wishing for a Netflix binge together, or some time to just hang out. Well, we got it in spades. 

Stories were passed around like candy, and we laughed until we cried. Hotel rooms were abandoned in favor of a giant sleepover for most of those present, and suddenly, plans were made for a mid-morning breakfast before everyone would have to make the trek back to their various homes.
