If I am honest, I am not sure making pottery was ever really rattling around in my brain before my friend suggested we take a class, but then the idea became intriguing.  So, in late October, Andy and I took a pottery class with a group of friends.

This place is not just our home away from home. It’s part of us, and when we haven’t been here for a while, we feel it calling us back.

The Holidays Have Arrived

But having something to look forward to is what we can maximize. We always have room for anticipation. That’s why Christmas Eve is often more exciting than Christmas Day. Decorating for the holidays is more fun than packing it away for the next year.

The Christmas Gathering: Update

As I put the prime-rib in the oven, the dogs were barking and the boys were busy trying out our holiday drink concoctions, I wondered for a brief moment if it was all going to come together.  Then I remembered that this chaos also belonged to everyone that was invited.  These dogs were their grand-dogs and half of these adult kids belonged to them as well.  I sent a quick text to remind them all that our chaos was their chaos and I hoped they were prepared.
