I have reached the age where not a lot makes my mouth fall open when it comes to parenting. Now this is not going to be a lesson on how to be a good parent. This is just an observation and I wanted to share it with you because it literally made me laugh out loud!
Today I was driving and noticing what an absolutely beautiful fall day it was when what to my wandering eyes should appear? A dad pushing his daughter on her pink tricycle down a very busy main thoroughfare…shirtless. Yes, you read that correctly, he was not wearing a shirt. He was wearing jeans and holding his shirt with one hand and pushing his daughter with the other.

I will give you a minute to fully visualize what this might have looked like. Maybe you are thinking, “what’s the big deal, I mean men run all of the time without their shirts?” True, but how many are wearing their jeans and pushing their two-year-old on a tricycle? And let’s just say, he seemed perfectly comfortable with the situation.
Now this is just my opinion, but I seriously thought it was hilarious. I am sure he was just “hot” and could not stand wearing his shirt another second, but really boys and girls let’s keep our shirts on while caring for our young children, shall we?
