OK, sarcastic, sunshiny followers it’s another Friday in summer.
What is happening that makes you smile, laugh out loud or just say, “ahhh, it’s summer?”
This little diddy made my whole week! I love when my friends buy into my crazy! Thank you Gina!
I also found this! Does it not just say summer? We are eating outdoors…if it ever stops raining during the late afternoon/evening here in Colorado. 
Although, we are not complaining because at least our state is NOT on fire this summer!
(G) Active prayer
I completed my Reiki I training last weekend and so far my felines and my husband are the best guinea pigs. There is a lot still to learn, for sure, and many more hours of practice but it’s been a great life lesson in getting quiet and “listening.” That is sometimes listening with my ears, but also listening with my hands and my heart. I really wasn’t sure how to integrate the practice into my mind but right now I think about it as an active prayer for someone else’s healing.
Cilantro is bolting
My cilantro started flowering a few weeks ago and after some reckless “googling” I discovered that phenomenon is called “bolting.” Ironically, I had described the plant in an earlier post as looking like it was running away. Well it was!
The instruction to stop this was to cut back the flowers to see if it would again produce cilantro leaves. As you can see that’s a resounding NO.
Beets are booming
On the other hand, we planted beets out at L&G’s mama’s house and they are flourishing! I expect (hope) we have something to show for our effort in a couple weeks. Then we can make beet juice or beet burgers! Really, I am serious. And they are both really good.
