Day 38 Happiness is reminders of peace & joy. NamastéDay 36 Happiness is having this girl home after a 4 day backpacking trip on Pikes Peak.
For the last 39 days we’ve been putting the focus on what’s right in our lives. So far it’s been a fun experiment but there is also room for a fair amount of realism in this laboratory of life. We can abstractly know we are grateful and happy for the things we have in life and at the same time be sitting in a moment where the feeling itself is not really there.
Logically, I know I am living a good, comfortable, nice life. That doesn’t mean that every moment I am swimming in the sea of glee.
Yesterday, when I was on my way home I was feeling tired, a little dull and ready to call it a day. I was, however, not feeling “the happy.” Then I remembered I hadn’t yet posted my Day 38 photo.
“Oh crap, now I gotta find my happiness?”
I was a little resentful and then as I was walking toward my car I glanced over in the flower bed at All Life Center and I saw this dove. There it was, when I wasn’t expecting it and was possibly even resisting it: happiness.
Peace out,
G
